Everybody starts somewhere — so start your journey here! If you want to take your skills to the max, our experienced instructors are here to help. Learn the basics or perfect your craft with private or group lessons, available to all ages and skill levels.
From skiing to snowboarding, we’ll help you navigate it all. Simply register online (or sign up in person at the Clocktower), check in at the rental building, and find your lesson time, instructor, and location displayed on one of the television screens. Then you’re ready to get out on the hill!

One-time LESSONS
An introduction to the basics in a group format. These lessons cover everything from form, fundamentals, and learning how to fall. Our instructors will safely introduce novice skiers and boarders to the terrain on our approachable Wunderberg run. Bring the whole family out for a fun activity everyone can enjoy!
Got a little one who loves the snow? This program offers a wonderful introduction to a classic winter sport. Kids will enjoy a 60-minute session where they can play outside and get familiar with snow, ski boots, and beginner skiing. A balanced mix of education and games, they’ll love our Snowman’s Club! Class size is limited to 10 participants to ensure an age-appropriate instructor to child ratio.
Get in the zone and up your skills! Choose from four distinct zones on the hill and be placed in a group seeking a similar lesson challenge level. Whether it’s covering the basics or controlling speed and direction, join a group out on the hill to get learning!
- Online registration is required.
- All lessons should be scheduled in advance.
- Lessons start on time. Please have your equipment and the lesson participants ready by the lesson start time.
- Waivers are required for all tickets and lessons, and completion of a rental agreement is required to rent equipment from Sunburst. Waivers will be completed during the purchase process online. You will need to complete a waiver for each participant.

Multi-Visit Lessons
Sunburst’s 4-week Mogul Mite program takes your child through a two-hour lesson each session and allows students to develop the lifelong skills of skiing or snowboarding. They do this with peers at similar ability levels, make new friends, and have a great time on the snow with our instructors! Youth are split into groups based first on ability, then age. These classes are designed for skiers between the ages of 6-12, and Snowboarders ages 8-12. Limited class sizes, sign up early! *Lift Tickets are required for non-season pass holders. *Equipment Rentals available if needed
Sunburst’s 4-week Mini Mite program is designed just for our younger skiers. Your child will enjoy a one-hour lesson each session, setting the fundamentals for skiing at an early age. These classes are designed for children between the ages of 4 and 5 only. Children must be age 4 by the start of the program (NO EXCEPTIONS). Limited class sizes, sign up early! *Lift Tickets are required for non-season pass holders. *Equipment Rentals available if needed

Private Lessons
No matter your age or ability, we’ll help you take your skills to the max. These personalized individual lessons are perfect for working on your goals. With an experienced trainer and customized training program, you can master the fundamentals or fine-tune your tricks — the sky’s the limit!
SEMI-PRIVATE LESSONS
Enjoy learning to ski or board in a small group format. Modeled after our Private Lessons, the Semi-Private Lesson places you into a group of up to five people. You’ll receive individual training alongside group instruction, as you build confidence on the hill.
- Online registration is required.
- All lessons must be scheduled in advance.
- Lessons start on time. Please have your equipment and the lesson participants ready by the lesson start time.
- Waivers are required for all tickets and lessons, and completion of a rental agreement is required to rent equipment from Sunburst. Waivers can be completed online or at the Clocktower upon your arrival. Please have waivers completed for each participant prior to your first lesson checkin.
4-Visit Ski Club

Whether you’re building up your skills, have a busy schedule, or only want a small taste of your preferred winter sport, this is the package for you! Choose from ski or snowboard for four visits throughout the season.
- 4-visit program to be used any Monday – Thursday evening during the 2023–2024 season
- Lesson times 4:30pm & 6:30pm
- Rental equipment available if needed
