Refunds and Rescheduling Policies
Please read these policies carefully!!
Refunds:
Sunburst does not issue refunds back to your original payment method.
The weather in Wisconsin is unpredictable (snow, cold, warmth, or rain) and does not warrant credits or ticket rescheduling unless Sunburst were to close.
If Sunburst were to close operations due to weather (and you pre-purchased your tickets), you will receive an email from our guest services management team to reschedule your tickets.
All purchases are valid only for the season in which they are made and must be used during that same operating season. Unused products, services, or passes will expire at the end of the season and will not carry over automatically.
Certain purchases may be eligible for a transfer to the following season, subject to management approval and applicable transfer fees. Eligibility and fees may vary depending on the product or program.
Please contact Guest Services for questions regarding transfer eligibility or applicable fees.
Rescheduling:
Rescheduling must be done before or on the day and time of your visit, and prior to redeeming your tickets. To reschedule your tickets, lessons, rentals, and more please visit your my account.
Mogul / Mini Mite Programs:
You cannot reschedule individual sessions.
You can cancel by email at guestservices@skisunburst.com.
Cancel 30 days or more before the start date: no penalty.
Cancel within 30 days of the start date: you lose 50% of the cost (50% cancellation fee).
Refunds are not cash/card refunds — they are issued as a Sunburst Credit.
Season Pass Insurance:
Season passes will receive a prorated Sunburst credit only if Pass Insurance is purchased. Pass insurance is optional and can only be added at the same time as the purchase of the season pass. Season Passes are non-transferable, non-refundable, and may not be resold.
You may qualify if you cannot use your season pass due to:
Medical reasons or injury
Illness (with doctor proof)
Government-related closures
What you must do:
Provide documentation, such as:Doctor’s note for injury/illness
Other proof if applicable
How the credit is calculated:
The ski season is treated as 100 days total.
They prorate (calculate partial value) based on that 100-day season.
The unused portion becomes a credit toward next year’s season pass.
Important details:
You do not get a cash refund.
You get credit for a pass next season.
The credit is NOT based on how many times you used the pass, only on the season timeline.
Group Events:
There are no refunds/credits for group events (booked with the group sales department). Groups are available to reschedule, but this must be done as a whole (no individual rescheduling).
Gift Cards:
Gift cards are valid for 5 years from the purchase date and are non-refundable.
Black Friday Deals:
Black Friday Deals are non refundable, non transferable and may not be resold. All black Friday deals expire at the end of each purchase season and are unable to be transferred to the following year.
4 Week Clubs:
If a guest cannot make a session of the club, they may reschedule their lift ticket and rentals on another Monday through Friday after 4 pm. Lessons are not able to be rescheduled. Any reschedules must be done at groups sales office
